Desperate NBC suits reportedly offered Vieira her old job back on the “Today” desk, before the former morning chatter box turned them down.
The Peacock network made their pitch two weeks ago, according to TMZ, but Vieira didn’t want to re-occupy the seat she held for more than five seasons between 2006 and last year.
NBC is in full panic mode with ABC’s “Good Morning America” closing fast on the decades-long stranglehold “Today” has held on morning television.
